Saint Augustine’s Men’s Purity Group is a fellowship of Catholic men who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to obey God’s laws, to stop lusting and become sexually pure. There are no dues or fees for membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
Saint Augustine’s Men’s Purity Group is loyal to the constant teachings of the Holy Catholic Church that have come down to us from the Apostles. We agree with the Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding pornography, which states:
2354 Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties. It offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses all who are involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. It is a grave offense.
Our primary purpose is to stay sexually pure and help other Catholic men achieve sexual purity.
